Clear ceramic braces are a common alternative to traditional metal braces. However, before you decide to go with ceramic braces you should consider these important factors.
Invisalign Teen from SmileTown Orthodontics Braces & Invisalign is specifically geared to meet teenagers' unique needs. Here's what makes this line of Invisalign a great choice for teens who need help straightening their smile.
What is Invisalign Teen?
Invisalign's series of clear, smooth plastic aligners has helped many patients straighten their teeth.
Since they're transparent, the casual observer will be hard-pressed to see them as the patient is wearing them. This makes them a great choice for teens who may be concerned about the aesthetic appearance of traditional metal braces.
These aligners are also removable, meaning you can eat all your favourite foods without restrictions, then brush, floss and care for your oral health as you would regularly. While Invisalign and Invisalign Teen share these traits, the line developed for teens has a few extra features that make this option more appropriate for teens.
Invisalign created their Teen line to remove the barriers teens tend to associate with orthodontic treatment and Invisalign. We'll highlight a few important differences between Invisalign and Invisalign Teen below.

Why choose Invisalign Teen?
Invisalign's series of clear plastic aligners for teens are a great choice for adolescents who want to discreetly straighten their smile. These aligners feature compliance indicators, eruption tabs that leave space for adult teeth to emerge and six sets of replacement aligners in case some are lost.
What makes Invisalign Teen different?
On the Invisalign Teen aligners, you'll find small blue dots which fade away after your teen has worn the aligners for two weeks (336 hours).
For a number of reasons, teens tend to be less compliant with orthodontic treatment and do not always wear their aligners as prescribed. With compliance indicators, they can keep track of how long they should wear their current set of aligners before switching them out for the next one in the series.
Young teens' adult teeth may still be coming in. Invisalign has anticipated this and built eruption tabs into their Invisalign Teen line - spaces that allow adult teeth to emerge.
6 Sets of Replacement Aligners
Sometimes, aligners can become damaged or lost. Fortunately, this inevitability has also been addressed. There are 6 sets of replacement aligners to help reduce the risk of dental health problems as a result of treatment delays due to aligners that have been broken or lost.
